acquiring Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros (World of Warcraft night elf)

Obtaining the Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

Intro:
This mace is one of the best two-handers in the
game. There is a fragile limit to who should/can use it though, most
would say this goes to a DPS warrior, although Paladins and even
enhancement Shamans have been seen with it. While Thunderfury require
you to farm BWL for elementium ore, everything you need for Sulfuras
can be found in Molten Core or in the outside world.

How To:
To make Sulfuras, you'll first need to make a Sulfuron
Hammer. A blacksmith with 300 in skill is needed for that and the
plans for it are sold by Lokhtos Darkbargainer at the BRD
tavern (the same guy you do turn ins to for increased Thorium
Brotherhood rep after you reach honored). You need to give him a
Sulfuron Ingot (dropped only by Golemagg in MC) to receive the plans,
however there is no rep required.

Once you've got the plans it's time to start working on those
materials for the hammer. You should already be way on your way as
you've spent some time getting to Golemagg in MC.

What you need and where to find/how to make it

  1. 8x Sulfuron Ingots (From Golemagg, as mentioned. This
is in addition to the one you used to buy the plans)
  2. 20x Dark Iron bars (Which again means 160 dark iron
ores. Dark iron is mined a few places in Burning Stepps and Searing
Gorge, but are most easily found inside Blackrock Dephts and Molten
Core itself. To melt ores into bars you need to learn it from one of
the dwarves from the Chamber of Seven, and melt it at the Black
Forge, next to the MC portal in BRD).
  3. 50 Arcanite Bars (Arcanite bars again. 1 arcane
crystal and 1 thorium bar is required per Arcanite bar and it takes
an alchemist 2 days to make one. Better get your guilds alchemists
    ready to contribute)
  4. 25x Essence of Fire (these drops from fire elemtanls
in Burning Stepps, Searing Gorge and the Blackrock instances. They
can also be created by alchemists (275+ and a Philosopher's Stone)
by transmuting air to fire, but the process has a 24h cooldown).
  5. 10x Blood of the Mountain (This are rare drops from
    Thorium veins)
  6. 10x Lava Core (Drops off of most mobs in MC)
  7. 10x Fiery Core (Same as Lava Cores, drops from MC
    mobs)

The blacksmith should have all he needs to make Sulfuron Hammer.
In itself it is an excellent DPS weapon (63 DPS), but the real value
is it's ability to turn into Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. For this you
need ONE thing - the Eye of Sulfuras. Unfortunately it only drops
from Ragnaros at about 2% drop rate, which means you could easily
farm Raggy for a year before your guild gets it.

Note that the Sulfuron Hammer is BoE, so the one who makes it need
not be the one chosen to receive Sulfuras. The Eye of Sulfuron
however is BoP, so make sure the chosen one loots it. Sulfuras is BoP
as well, no-one can loot the eye, make Sulfuras and give it away.

Once you got Sulfuron and the Eye, you are 45 seconds away from
being the proud owner of this beauty.

Kharazan Attunement (World of Warcraft night elf)

Summary:
Kharazan is a 10 man raid instance which consists of 13 new bosses. It is the greatest challenge of any raid or instance we have ever done yet. Being limited to 10 people, it will require for each and everyone of us to display our individual skills as well as working together as a team. There will be lots of blood shed, and everyone is given a fair warning of the circumstances.
Getting attuned to kharazan is not a mission that any ordinary group of people can complete. It is a test of will, strength, and endurance that only the best will be able to overcome.

Lets get started with the attunement process:

There are 2 prerequisite quests to complete before you are able to receive the attunement chain. They are both accessable at lvl 68 through Archmage Alturus located outside of karazhan in Deadwind Pass (Azeroth):

A. Arcane Disturbances -
Archmage will ask you to locate the Underground Pond, and Underground well. This is a simple task, Both are located near each other. The Underground well is located about 20 steps west of the archmage in one of the destroyed houses with unliving residents roaming around. You will find some stairs that lead to an underground cellar, Its fairly small so finding the well shouldn't be too difficult. In the direct opposite location of the stairs that lead to the underground well, there is a replica of stairs that will lead you to the underground pond. All you need to do is walk near the pond and well to complete the quest objectives.

B. Restless Activity -
Archmage will ask you to collect 10 ghostly essences off of the ghosts and unliving residents that roam around the cellar and general area. These are about a 30% drop rate and very easy to complete in a 2-3 man group. They are also scattered throught the path to the underground pond and well, so you can complete both quests at the same time.

Once both of these quests are completed, return to the Archmage and he will give you the starting quest to Karazhan attunement called:

1. Contact from Dalaran -
You simply travel to Dalaran, north of southshore and talk to Archmage cedric. He is north of Dalaran by the lake. (Approx 17,54 with coords)

Archmage Cedric will then give you a quest to speak to Khadgar in shattrah city.

2. Khadgar -
Khadgar is located in the center of the upper level of shattrah city. He is the Npc that you get to choose Aldor or Scryer Rep from.

Khadgar will then give you the next quest.

3. Entry into Karazhan -
This will require a good 5 man team capable of clearing the Shadow Labirynth located in Achindoun, Terokkar Forest. The key for this instance is dropped off of the final boss in sethekk halls located in Achindoun, Terokkar Forest or can be opened by a maxed out lockpicking rogue. It's not extremely difficult compared to the other 5 mans you will be required to complete for the rest of the key, but the last boss is what makes it complicated. The Arcane Container which contains the Key fragment u need is located behind the Final boss of the Shadow lab Murmur. You must kill Murmur to be able to open the container and take the key. You can look up boss strats for murmur at wowhead, which is an awesome database and source of information for all Burning Crusade bosses and quests.

Once the First key fragment is obtained, return to khadgar and he will give you the next quest.

4. The Second and Third Fragments -
For this Quest, you must obtain 2 more key fragments, One of which is located inside the SteamVault, Coilfang Reservoir Zangarmarsh, and The other in Arcatraz, Tempest Keep Netherstorm. (You will need a flying mount to access this instance or a lock to summon you to the entrance)
The Key in steamvault is a bit tricky to recover. It is actually soloable as a rogue. A 5 man group can clear the main room, and Right before Hydromancer Thespia's room (First boss who you are not required to kill) there is a giant lake to the right. Jump into the lake and swim to the bottom. Right at the bottom you will see the arcane container which contains the Second Key Fragment. Collect it and move to the second part of the quest.
The key in arcatraz is very simple to find. The problem is getting into arcatraz, since it requires a major chain quest to obtain the key and a flying mount to get there. The easiest thing to do would be to have a rogue lockpick the door for you instead of doing the Tedious chain for the key. Once inside, you must clear the first and second rooms, Third room contains the first boss and a bunch of mobs that are all optional to kill. You will see a ramp in the third room. Take it and it will lead you upstairs into the fourth room. Just to the right of the entrance to the fourth room you wil lsee the Arcane container which contains the Third key fragment. Collect it and head back to khadgar.

5. The Master's Touch -
From our exeperience, this is by far the most difficult 5 man iv'e done. If you haven't been to The Caverns of time yet, you will be required to complete the Old Hillsbrad Foothills quest of rescuing Warcheif Thrall before you can enter the Black Morass and talk to medivh to complete the quest. The old hillsbrad is a simple lvl 66-65 instance that contains an escort quest to unlock the black morass.
WARNING: Before entering the Black Morass, you must ensure that you are in a great group with raiding specced players. There is an extremely difficult event that takes place, which is the gretest test of strength you will face in this quest line. ITs pretty self explanatory, but u will be required to defend medivh from an infinite amount of spawning mobs as he attempts to open the dark portal. There are 18 rifts, and a major boss on the 6th, 12th, and 18th rift. Like we said, its extremely difficult and you must be in a good group to complete this. Pugs will not cut it.

Upon completion of this quest, you will be redirected to return to Khadgar once more.

6. Return to Khadgar -
Khadgar will restore the Key, and ask you to return to Archmage Alturius in Karazhan once more.

7. The Violet Eye -
This is the quest that will ask you to return to Archmage Alturius in Karazhan once more.

Upon completion of The violet eye, You will now be granted access into Karazhan. Congradulation on completing the Attunement!
From this point, there is another chain that Archmage Alturius gives you to talk to someone inside the instance. You will be able to complete this in your first 10 man Karazhan raid.

Getting into a raid guild Druid (Blizzard Warcraft)

End-Game Preparation:

This post is an elaboration apon the PvE sets guide I wrote a
short while ago as a quest answer. Hopefully with this simple guide
you will know what to look for and where to farm to stand the best
chance of getting into a high end raiding guild.

Druid

Raiding guilds are not, and will never be interested in a feral Druid. Whilst
I do not have the experience to offer a good Druid PvE template I can
assure you that you won&rst get anywhere with out at least 18
points in restoration: Again I am no expert on druid templates. If
someone would care to amend this, that would be much
appreciated.

Improved Mark of the Wild rank 5/5
Improved
Healing Touch rank 5/5
Reflection rank 3/3
Subtlety rank
5/5

Gear:

+Healing gear is a must. Again guilds
will not be interested in the amount of DPS you can pump out, that&rss
what rogues are for. Below I will list what I consider to be some of
the best PvE druid gear in pre-raid instances.

Resistance Gear:

As a druid
it is unlikely that you will be subjected to too much spell damage
from mobs. The main resistance pools you will need are Fire, Nature
and Frost resistance. Below is a rough guide for what you can get for
each pool – each set should get you above 80 of each
resistance.

Fire Resistance!

Chest:

- Cow King&rss
Hide.
Bracers:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=14439
- Venomshroud Arm
Guards
Gloves:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=18344
- Stonebark
Gauntlets.
Belt:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=17750
- Chloromesh

- Wolfshear
Leggings.
Boots:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=17748
- Vinerot Sandals

In my experience I genuinely feel that
nature resistance for non-meat shield classes is just a token gesture
to show your commitment to the guild. It&rss really quite
unlikely that as a druid you&rsd need too much.

Frost Resistance!

Shoulder:

- Icy Tomb
Spaulders.
Chest:

The deal with the coins (Paladin Warcraft)

The deal with the coins:
There are 44 'Elders' all over the world (and 6 in instances). They are easy to spot, because they have a bright white shaft of light all around them. Each elder has a quest, which is really just talking to him. There is no pre-requisite to do this, you can simply walk up and talk to any of the 50 Elders listed below. A quick 'Continue' then 'Complete,' and you have yourself a Coin of Ancestry. Each elder gives you 1 coin, and 50 reputation with all horde/alliance factions (example: 50 reputation with Darkspear Trolls, Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity — so, 200 reputation total) when you talk to them and complete the mini-quest.

The Coins of Ancestry can be turned in to 2 NPC's in Nighthaven, a city in Moonglade, for various rewards (listed at the bottom of this post). Now, the rewards aren't that good, but the reputation is outstanding. If you visit all of the NPC's and get their coins, you will recieve a total of 10,000 reputation. TEN THOUSAND. That's the same as turning in 200 stacks of Runecloth. The mini-quests give no EXP. (Thanks Basic, of Kil'Jaeden). You, however, get no bonus for collecting all 50. Which is a bit of an anti-climax.

Here's a list of all the NPC's and where they're located.

Eastern Kingdoms
The Undercity - Elder Darkcore, in the throne room at the city entrance
Tirisfal Glades - Elder Graveborn, Brill, by the Inn on the path
Silverpine Forest - Elder Obsidian, Sepulcher, at front gate
Western Plaguelands - Elder Moonstrike, Scholomance, right outside the instance on the roof of the portal building
Western Plaguelands - Elder Meadowrun, south of Weeping Cavern (Big thanks to Scurn of Darkspear)
Eastern Plaguelands - Elder Windrun, Crown Guard Tower
Eastern Plaguelands - Elder Snowcrown, Light's Hope Chapel
The Hinterlands - Elder Highpeak, on the hill at The Creeping Ruin
Loch Modan - Elder Silvervein, Thelsamar, on a hill overlooking the graveyard. (thanks Lark of Khaz Modan for the fix)
Dun Morogh - Elder goldwell, Kharanos, just North of the Inn along the outside wall
Ironforge - Elder Bronzebeard, The Mystic Ward in the central pool
Searing Gorge - Elder Ironband, Blackchar Cave
Burning Steppes - Elder Dawnstrider, Flamecrest, just West of the flight path, off the ramp.
Burning Steppes, Elder Rumblerock, Dreadmaul Rock, to the right of the highest cave
Blasted Lands - Elder Bellowrage, Dark Portal, just over the North lip of the crater
Stormwind City - Elder Hammershout, The Park around the center
Elwynn Forest - Elder Stormbrow, goldshire, behind the blacksmith shop by the lake.
Westfall - Elder Skychaser, Sentinel Hill, at the top of the tower.
Stranglethorn Vale - Elder Winterhoof, Booty Bay, near the boat dock on the lowest level
Stranglethorn Vale - Elder Starglade, Zul'Gurub, right outside the instance portal to the south

Kalimdor
Darnassus - Elder Bladeswift, Cenarion Enclave
Teldrassil - Elder Bladeleaf, Dolanaar, just South-East of the Inn next to a moonwell
Darkshore - Elder Starweave, Auberdine, just South of city along beach (Thanks Yevin of Feathermoon for the fix)
Ashenvale - Elder Riversong, Astranaar, center of city in a gazebo
Winterspring - Elder Brightspear, Ruins of Kel'theril, south-east of the frozen lake in the ruins
Winterspring - Elder Stonespire, Everlook, outside the bank
Azshara - Elder Skygleam, Ravencrest Monument, eastern tip of the fallen green statue
Felwood - Elder Nightwind, Jaedenar, North of the first cave, heading towards the river
Orgrimmar - Elder Darkhorn, outside Thrall's chamber in the Valley of Wisdom
Durotar - Elder Runetotem, Razor Hill, south of the Razor Hill Barracks
The Barrens - Elder Windtotem, Ratchet, near where the engineer trainer/suppliers are in the North.
The Barrens - Elder Moonwarden, The Crossroads, near flight path
The Barrens - Elder High Mountain, Camp Taurajo, east gate
Thunder Bluff - Elder Proudhorn, Elder Rise

Elder Morndeep - Blackrock Depths, Ring of Law, middle of the arena floor (Thanks Wodin of Proudmoore)

Elder Wildmane - Tanaris, Zul'Farrak, next to Gahz'rilla's pool (thanks, Mishona of Zul'jin)
Elder Splitrock - Desolace, Maraudon, between Rotgrip and the Inventor

Rewards:
The Elders send you items in the mail after you've spoken with them.
From Euphemia of Stormreaver: 'Lucky Red Envelope=Lucky Rockets which once fired will get you a +250hp buff for 30 mins.' You get one of these from every Elder you speak to.
(images removed, bandwidth exceeded and they weren't very interesting anyway.)

The following are all from the 2 NPC's in Nighthaven, Moonglade. None of the Coin turnins give any reputation or experience. There are also level requirements to see the items.

Easy Solo Kills For XP Money (Warcraft forum)

If you do the quest series in Nagrand that takes you to the bar.
Link: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=10009

The one where you have to collect the debt from 3 diffrent npcs - Well don't turn in the quest, just keep asking the ogre at the bar for the debt and he will continue to respawn within 5-10sec of death and drop about 50 silver each time. He's really easy to solo and you get rested xp while you do it.

We eventually turned in the quest after killing him 50 times out of sheer boredom, but maybe someone can use this to a more sinister means. . . .

Gruul the Dragonkiller exploit (Warcraft cd key)

If you've ever attempted this beast you know how a single ground slam can ruin your attempt.

When your raid gets the message that a ground slam is incoming; drink a dreamless sleep potion, while sleeping you will NOT get thrown around.

You can use the cheap pots even and the cooldown will be ready by the time another ground slam is due.

Work this into your plan and have everyone positioned 20yds away from eachother at all times. You can even have places for your melee dps to stand and pop a pot.

Weapon leveling Invulnerable Mob (Warcraft 3 frozen throne)

If you do the quest 'The Ashtongue Corruptors' (http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=10685)

You can very easily level your weapon skill since you have to kill these guys who are invulnerable until you destroy there totems so you can easily just let your character attacking them while you do other things around the house or whateva

After doing this a few times I have found the Corruptor of Air (57,74) to be the best because there are no surrounding mobs.

NOTE: this is only for ranged weapons…if you stand far enough away nothing will aggro.

Easy Money Making Exploitable Spot (World of Warcraft addons)

WHERE/WHAT:

In Northweatern Westfall, running along the cliff, there is a lone
windmill with a tiny shack at its base. It is surrounded by 6-7 Defias
mobs, levels 12-13.

Whats the catch?

They respawn immediately. Get the drift?

WHAT LEVEL YOU SHOULD BE:

I would suggest 24+, however I was 33 when I discovered it, and it is
still extremely useful when you reach 60.

WHAT TO USE THIS SPOT FOR:

1) Grinding/Maxing new weapon proficiencies…
2) Leveling a toon (lvl 5-16)…and getting him rich, as well.
3) Farming Linen. (For you linen clowns, I easily loot 100 linen in
about 5 minutes).
4) Farming these nice little nets that occasionally drop.

GOLD DUPE! (World of Warcraft wisp)

Dupe gold in WSG
At the end of WSG after all 3 caps, sometimes you cannot leave the BG and will eventually disconnect. If your scoreboard says '-2s till battlegrounds will close', you know your game is bugged. *You need this to happen before you will be able to do the dupe*

* You can then exit out of the scoreboard.
* Trade your friend and put in the amount of gold.
* You log out and log back in. *Not the person you traded the gold to*
* Your friend with the gold will finally get disconnected. You both will have the same amout of money!

-You have to be next to each other when the game ends.
-I have not tested with items, only with gold.

For the BG to get bugged like this it basically needs to crash. It happens very rarely but it does happen.

Which of you accepts, trader, receiver or both?
Both of you accept and then only the trader logs off and logs back in.

Do you log off with the trade window open? or closed?
Does not matter.

Does the reciever leave the trade window open while you log off, or close it?
Does not matter.

Does the reciever do ANYTHING after the trader logs off? or stands still until disconnect?
Stand still until disconnected.
